With over 35 years of experience, Turgut’s journey began in Istanbul, where he studied economics before diving into the world of transport in 1985. After gaining hands-on experience in both Turkey and Romania, he founded GENEL TRANSPORT in 1988, where he still serves as President & CEO—driving innovation, growth, and global connections. Turgut’s leadership extends far beyond his own company. He’s held major roles in influential organizations, including President of UTIKAD, President of the Logistics Business Council of DEIK, and most notably, FIATA President as of October 2023.
His decades of service and strategic vision have helped shape the future of global freight forwarding.
Known for his wisdom, humility, and passion for industry collaboration, Turgut brings not just insights—but real inspiration. His story is one of dedication, impact, and global influence.
